What Is The Quest.I.On
During the first lockdown, I teamed up with Timmy Creed, actor and theatre maker, to create a short film titled What Is The Quest.I.On for the Mountshannon Arts Festival. Funded by the Arts Council and shot entirely in the wilderness of West Kerry, the piece is a playful yet reflective meditation on identity and the role of the wild man in modern society.
Timmy and I explore the primary relationships in a man's life—his place as a son, a father, and a brother—drawing inspiration from the teachings of John Moriarty. Set against the raw beauty of our own West Kerry landscape, What Is The Quest.I.On captures the spirit of that time: the stillness, the uncertainty, and the space for deeper questioning.
